HELLO!

My name is Achilles Stamatelaky and this is my website.

I’m a screenwriter/performer/director who was born in The Philippines, moved to New York City with my family when I was 8, and somehow have the most Greek name ever. (I mean, I am part Greek, but still.)

I was a staff writer on Broad City and have developed multiple projects for TV, film, and new media including an animated show for Ludacris on MTV, if you can believe it.

Recently, I’ve written and directed several scripted Audible Original series produced by Broadway Video. Series include Christmas Delivery (creator, writer, director) starring Gillian Jacobs and Sam Richardson; Hit Job (director and co-writer) starring Keke Palmer and Pete Davidson; and MOTIVATED! (director and co-writer) starring Nia Vardalos and Rob Riggle. Hit Job has been nominated for an Ambie Award and has won a Signal Award for Limited Comedy Series.

I’ve also been in national commercials for ESPN, Rocket Mortgage, Ally Bank, and Bud Light, among others.

I’ve been performing comedy since 2005 mainly at The UCB Theatre NY, where I was formerly the Associate Artistic Director and a veteran house team improviser, writer, and director.

I’ve taught improv and sketch writing at the UCB Training Center, as well as sitcom writing at NYU, and tons of independent classes and workshops.

I’m a member of the Writer’s Guild East and SAG-AFTRA. One day I hope to meet Paul McCartney and have him autograph a part of my body, so I can then have it tattooed on me permanently.
