365 DUMB CHARACTERS

In 2018, I challenged myself to post one dumb character every day for 365 days. They are truly dumb. Here, you can see the first dozen or so, but I recommend check out the 365 Instagram page for more. There. you’ll be graced by such characters as “Sell Out John Lennon,” “Improv Teacher Thinks He’s In ‘The Office,’” and “Guy Bragging About How He Lives In A Cave.” I told you they were dumb!

SERIOUSLY, ARE YOU READY TO ROCK?!: A BATTLE OF THE BANDS SHOW

My friends Matt Starr, Dave Murray, and professional musician Matt Rubano hosted a battle of the bands style show were comedians created their own bands, performed three cover songs, and competed for the audience’s love. The winner got to play “Wonderwall” by Oasis to close out the night. (As the house band, we did bits with the audience and hosted the show.) Below is from the first “championship” show in June 2016. You can find all the shows on my YouTube page.

THE KIRK CAMERON REPERTORY PLAYERS PRESENT: A HARRY POTTER MUSICAL!

I’m a big fan of the Harry Potter series and wrote this one act musical with my friend and awesome musician Ari Scott in 2010. This was a satirical musical “written and performed by the Kirk Cameron Repertory Players,” a fundamentalist Christian theater group. (This was around the time when people were burning Harry Potter books for “promoting witchcraft.”) Anyway, I’m really proud of this show. It had an all star cast of UCB performers, including Rachel Bloom (Crazy Ex-Girlfriend) and Natasha Rothwell (Insecure).

HERE ARE SOME OF MY FAVORITE SKETCHES I’VE WRITTEN

These are sketches I’ve produced over the years with my sketch groups at the Upright Citizens Brigade.

ORIGINAL PILOT SAMPLE: D-LEAGUE

D-League is an original pilot I wrote. Here’s the logline: After a 5-year ban for fighting a mascot (which resulted in the biggest brawl in NBA history), former superstar and still-diva Michael Jordan Jones, AKA “MJ”, is up for reinstatement. But first, he must prove himself to a no-nonsense female coach and a rag-tag group of teammates in the NBA Developmental League — the D-League. Can he behave himself and find his way back to the big time?

Check out the script here.
